How do you begin your mornings?

I find the best time to meditate on the things of the Lord is in the morning. This includes daily Bible reading, reflecting on a recent message, or considering an encouraging thought from a friend. My preferred spot is a screened-in back porch before daylight. The world is waking up, and in the stillness and quietness, "my heart is fixed" (Ps 57:7) on Him.

Morning Routine

I start my day with prayer. I follow a routine that includes confession, expressing thankfulness for things and people, and then making requests. Sometimes, a 'still small voice' provides a helpful thought or direction.

This morning, my Bible reading took me to Psalms 61. Verse two resonates with me: "when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." This verse captures how I feel at times. Verse eight indicates how devotion should conclude, regardless of life's burdens: "So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows."

The Importance of Praise

Do you understand the significance of this? "Daily, praise and sing of Him..." It is essential to start each day with a heart full of gratitude and worship. This practice helps set the tone for the day ahead.

Finding Peace in Worship

In moments of chaos, turning to worship can bring peace. It allows me to focus on what truly matters. The act of singing praises can lift my spirit and remind me of the greater purpose in life.

Building a Strong Fellowship

Being part of a church community enhances this experience. A local assembly provides a welcoming place for worship and spiritual growth. It focuses on preaching from the 1611 KJB, which supports a strong, loving fellowship among its members.

Engaging with Scripture

Engaging with Scripture daily is vital. It grounds me and offers direction. I encourage you to explore the Bible regularly. It can be a source of comfort and guidance.

Conclusion

How do you begin your mornings? I invite you to consider incorporating these practices into your routine. They can transform your day and deepen your relationship with the Lord.

If you are looking for a church fellowship, consider visiting our local assembly. We aim to serve the Cornelia, Georgia, and surrounding community by providing a welcoming place for worship and spiritual growth.
